About the game
- Type: set collection + sometime auction
This is a board game collaboration by 999 Games and Kröller-Müller museum in the Netherlands. You will hunt for artworks which are distributed in France, the Netherlands, Belgian and Germany. Basically, you need to collect each currency to buy each country's collections.
Each player will take one of the following actions:
- Take Money (Used to buy art)
- Buy Art
- Activate the advisor card (lets you save your turn, letting you play twice in a row later)
Just be relaxed while playing. As long us you are trying to buy certain kinds art, you will just save your money and wait for your objective genre's card to come up. Once the auction card is drawn(there is question mark on the cost of the card), the vibe will be completely changed! It turns into a bit of a party game atmosphere during the auction phase.
Usually you need to prepare specific country's currency depending on which location the art is. Interesting point is that you can merge currency to buy the art when the auction happens. Therefore, you can bet all the currency you have and go all in if you want!

We think it's always hard which game to pick when you introduce board games to your friends who are not so familiar with games. We really recommend this game for such a situation. The rules are easy to understand for everyone if there is one person who can understand or explain about the rules.

Artworks on cards are actually collections at the Kröller-Müller museum. You can learn about their Van Gogh, De stijl and other masterpieces. You can talk with other players about the art during you are waiting for your turn.
FYI
- Recommend play by 3-4 rather than 2 players. When you play by 2 players, you might wait more time to buy cards(of arts), because the art for sale will not rotate very much.
- The board is decent size (XXXcm)
